About Us
Vikas Sahyog Pratishthan (VSP), is a people-centric organization dedicated to sustainable development in rural Maharashtra. VSP empowers marginalized communities through education, livelihood development, water conservation, sanitation and hygiene initiatives, impacting thousands of families and children across the region.
In terms of services the expertise of VSP is in information dissemination, training, lobbying, policy advocacy etc. VSP has been working with various support organizations and part of different networks operating at local, national and international level.

Objective
- Eradicating poverty, hunger and malnutrition, promoting good health and well being.
- Enhancing food security and health care which includes sustainable agriculture,sanitation, preventive health care, and availability of safe drinking water by contribution to Local, State and Central Government programs and schemes to achieve these.
- Improvement in education which includes special education and employment strengthening vocational skills among children, women, elderly and the differently-abled.
- Improving education by establishing institutions and hostels, managing mid-day meal kitchens, training teachers, supporting infrastructure, offering scholarships, bridging gaps for students, developing educational materials, and advocating best practices towards inclusive and qualitative educational scenarios
- Enhancing rural development through livelihood enhancement projects by training Self Help Group, Joint Liability Groups, Producers Companies and similar institutes, establishing skill development centres that empower individuals with traditional skills, creating entrepreneurship opportunities, and providing water harvesting structures and irrigation facilities. Building capacities of farmers by enhancing sustainable agriculture practices and creating markets as well as credit linkages on farm and forest-based produce for enhanced economic opportunities
- Promote the National Integrity by undertaking activities such as the development of traditional art and handicrafts. Setting the digital libraries and organising sports events.
- Promoting gender equality, empowering women and girls, reducing inequalities faced by socially and economically backward groups by setting up homes and hostels for women and orphans; setting up old age homes, day care centres and such other facilities.
- Ensuring environmental sustainability and ecological balance by the way of protection of flora and fauna, animal welfare by promoting Tree plantation, agroforestry, climate resilient agriculture and livestock rearing, conservation of natural resources and maintaining quality of soil, air and water.
- Natural or Manmade disaster management, including relief, rehabilitation and reconstruction activities.
- Capacity building of other development oriented organisations such as Trusts, SHG, JLG, Producers Organisations and their volunteers by way of imparting knowledge, financial support, technical and managerial guidance.
- Undertake research and studies related to the communities development, Publish and produce progressive, educational content across various formats.
- Aligned with the mission and goals of the organisation undertake development projects, raise financial funds, set up infrastructures.
